Eco-Friendly Wood Anti-Mildew EmulsionFAQ
AboutEco-Friendly Wood Anti-Mildew EmulsionCommon questions about usage, effects, and pricing
Q1.Which environmental standards does the eco-friendly anti-mildew paste meet?
Suqian Mudun's eco-friendly wood anti-mildew emulsion complies with EU REACH regulations, U.S. EPA standards, and relevant domestic industry standards. It contains no restricted hazardous substances (e.g., pentachlorophenol; formaldehyde emissions < 0.1 mg/L). Certified by independent third-party testing agencies, the product includes full compliance test reports and meets environmental requirements for export to markets such as the EU and North America.
Q2.Is there a difference in effectiveness between emulsion and liquid anti-mildew agents?
Suzhou Mudun's eco-friendly anti-mildew emulsion and liquid anti-mildew agent offer comparable performance. The key differences are: the emulsion is a milky white liquid that forms a protective film on the wood surface upon drying, providing longer-lasting protection (lasting 6–12 months). The liquid agent is transparent, penetrates faster, and is ideal for scenarios requiring immediate processing and shipment. For export orders, we recommend the emulsion; for domestic quick-turnaround needs, choose the liquid agent.
Q3.Is the price of eco-friendly mold-inhibiting latex higher than that of conventional mold inhibitors?
Eco-friendly anti-mildew paste is 20-30% more expensive than standard anti-mildew agents due to higher formulation costs and compliance testing fees. However, considering export compliance requirements, brand partners' sustainability standards, and the risk of returns, eco-friendly paste offers a lower total cost of ownership. Suqian Mudun can recommend suitable solutions based on your order specifications.
Q4.Will there be residue on the wood surface after latex treatment?
Suzhou Mudun Eco-Friendly Anti-Mildew Paste forms a transparent protective film on the wood surface after drying, with no visible residue. It does not affect the wood's appearance or subsequent coating. The film enhances anti-mildew performance and provides water resistance. If you plan to apply a topcoat, wait 24 hours after the paste has dried to ensure the film is fully cured.
Q5.Can eco-friendly anti-mildew paste be used for wooden crates in food packaging?
Approved. Suqian Mudun eco-friendly anti-mildew latex meets food contact material safety standards. It is non-toxic and odorless, suitable for anti-mildew treatment of wood products related to food, such as food packaging crates and fruit and vegetable transport pallets. The product contains no heavy metals or restricted hazardous substances and will not migrate into food. Food contact material test reports are available to ensure compliance with export regulations.
