Wood PreservativeProduct Benefits
Wood ShieldWood PreservativeEngineered for wood protection: efficient, long-lasting, and compliant.
Efficient Penetration
Wood PreservativeFormulated with a specialized blend, it effectively penetrates deep into wood and establishes a durable protective barrier within the wood fibers. Optimized for varying densities and oil contents across species—including poplar, pine, masson pine, Chinese pine, mixed hardwoods, and plywood—it ensures uniform, long-lasting protection.
Persistent Protection
Treated wood continues to provide mold, decay, and blue stain protection during storage, transportation, and use. Depending on the environment, this protection can last from several months to several years.Mold-Resistant Powder with No-Dry RequirementFurthermore, it can proceed directly to the next processing stage after chemical treatment, saving space and energy.
Compliant Export

Wood PreservativeApp Guide
Proper usage ensures optimal product performance.
Construction Steps
Dilute wood preservative with water at a ratio of 1:20 to 1:50 (adjust based on application environment) and stir thoroughly.
Immerse the wood completely in the solution for 5-15 minutes (extend soaking time for outdoor use).
Drain excess solution after removal; the wet timber can proceed directly to the next processing stage.
Store treated wood in a well-ventilated, dry area. Keep away from rain.
For outdoor use, periodically check the protection level and reapply as needed.
Key Technical Points
- Dilution ratio: 1:20 to 1:50 (adjust based on application environment); fine-tune according to wood species and moisture content.
- Chemical consumption: approximately 150-300 kg/m³ of wood
- Protection Period: 3-5 years for outdoor use, 5-10 years for indoor use
- Different tree species (poplar, pine, Masson pine, Chinese pine, mixed wood, etc.) vary in water absorption and oil content; adjust the chemical concentration and soaking time accordingly.
- For export products, please prepare the MSDS and test reports in advance to ensure compliance with environmental regulations in the destination country.
- Start with a small-scale trial to verify effectiveness before proceeding with large-scale implementation.
- Wear protective gloves and a mask during installation. Ensure the work area is well-ventilated.

Wood PreservativeFAQ
AboutWood PreservativeCommon questions about usage, effects, and pricing
Q1.What is the difference between wood preservatives and anti-mold agents?
Wood preservatives target organisms like decay fungi, termites, and wood-boring insects that cause structural damage; they extend the service life of wood (up to 10-30 years). Mildewcides target microorganisms such as mold and blue-stain fungi that affect appearance; they keep surfaces clean. Preservatives are designed for harsh environments like outdoor, underground, or underwater applications. Mildewcides are intended for indoor, storage, and transport scenarios. Since their purposes differ, they cannot replace each other.
Q2.How many years can treated wood last outdoors?
The outdoor service life of wood treated with Suqian Mudun wood preservative depends on the wood species, environmental conditions, and treatment level: treated pine lasts 10–15 years; treated hardwood lasts 15–30 years. For outdoor landscapes, boardwalks, fences, and similar applications, a C4 or higher treatment level is recommended. Suqian Mudun Anti-Mold Technology in Suqian, Jiangsu can recommend the appropriate treatment level based on your specific application.
Q3.Can treated wood be cut and drilled?
Yes, but cutting and drilling will expose untreated wood surfaces. We recommend applying a preservative to these cut surfaces for added protection. Suqian Mudun offers a matching surface repair agent specifically designed for treated areas such as cuts, drill holes, and grooves to ensure consistent overall corrosion resistance. This repair agent is fully compatible with the original preservative and forms a complete protective layer once dried.
Q4.Can treated wood be in direct contact with soil?
Wood treated with Suqian Mudun wood preservative can be used in direct soil contact, provided the correct preservation level is selected. For general soil contact, C4 treatment is recommended; for prolonged burial or damp soil conditions, C5 treatment is advised. To further extend service life, elevate the bottom of the treated wood on stone or concrete foundations to prevent water accumulation.
Q5.Is wood treated with preservatives harmful to humans?
After treatment with Suqian Mudun wood preservative, the active ingredients are fixed within the wood fibers and pose no harm to humans under normal use. Once dry, the treated surface can be handled directly without releasing harmful substances. However, wear a mask and gloves when processing preserved wood to avoid inhaling dust. Do not use preserved wood for food contact surfaces or incineration.
